This is the result of an
exercise in composition during a workshop with Nancy Crow, in July
2000, at Quilting by the Lake, in New York state. It reminds me of
a brick wall, with cracks. In French, a cracked wall is “lézardé”,
so Lizard City it is. The quilting evokes lizard skin.
